Hope Starts Here

Founded in 1981, the mission of the Children’s Advocacy Center of Southwest Florida (CAC) is to create a safe and nurturing space for children affected by abuse and neglect, where they share their stories, heal, and thrive with comprehensive support. At CAC, we are committed to establishing a safe haven for children, emphasizing healing and empowerment through vital support that enables them to recover and thrive. With a strong focus on prevention, our organization educates the community and provides unique specialized services, including forensic support, medical exams, therapy, and classes. Together, we cultivate a compassionate community dedicated to advocacy, helping every child feel heard and supported as they reclaim their futures.

We are one of the largest Children’s Advocacy Centers in the state of Florida and the only one in Lee, Hendry, Glades and Charlotte Counties. CAC is accredited by the National Children’s Alliance.

There are many ways to give to support the Children’s Advocacy Center, including financial contributions, volunteering, sponsoring events, and more. We prioritize transparency and professionalism in our relationships with donors, ensuring that everyone understands and trusts the impact of their contributions. Contact our Chief Development Officer, Kaleigh Lawrence, for more information at klawrence@cac-swfl.org.

Every gift helps us in our mission to create a safe and nurturing space for children affected by abuse and neglect; and improve the lives of children and their families through prevention services.
